Super Long Pistachio Sizes
When buying Super Long pistachios from Macro Linq, you have the chance to get them in four various grades, based on their size. Below you can find four multiple grades available at Macro Linq:
- 18 to 20 Oz
This size of pistachio is the largest available size in Iran, ranging from 18 to 20 Oz.
- 20 to 22 Oz
The size of this grade ranges from 20 to 22 Oz.
- 22 to 24 Oz
This size of Akbari pistachio is 22 to 24 Oz.
- 24 to 26 Oz
This size ranges from 24 to 26 Oz.
Production of Super Long Pistachio in Iran
The most delicate type of Super Long pistachio is raised in Anar, a southern city in Iran, with warm days and cool nights. Anar is also the perfect place for growing Super Long pistachio because its soils offer the high calcium carbonate necessary for pistachio trees.
The pistachio tree is native to Central Asia, particularly Iran. With its premium quality, Iranian pistachio has an unparalleled place in the market. Although the American pistachio growers have a significant share of the global market today, most buyers choose the Iranian pistachio over the U.S. ones for its distinctive taste and texture.
In Iran, pistachios are harvested in early September, when the pistachio’s peel is red. Each Super Long pistachio cluster regularly contains 21 fruit, which is one of the highest in the world.
Processing and Packing Super Long Pistachio
At Macro Linq, we use two types of processing methods for Super Long pistachios. In the natural processing method, pistachios are opened naturally. When the pistachio’s kernel reaches its most significant size, it naturally cracks and becomes ready to harvest. However, not all pistachios are naturally open when shaken from their trees. We use a mechanical method to open the shells for processing closed shell pistachios and make Super Long pistachios enjoyable for our consumers.
In order to maintain the rich quality and flavor of our pistachios, we carefully sort, pack and store them. Right now, we offer Super Long pistachios in 25 and 50 kg gunnies to our customers across the world.
